Novelist Yuina Minazuki and artist Rou ("Row") Takakura teamed to form Mugifumi Tetsudauyo, a primarily 2x1 Gundam Wing circle whose work is among the most professional--and graphically explicit--in the genre. Featuring an affable, able Adonis of a Duo and an enigmatically effeminate but ever-deadly Heero, Mugifumi Tetsudauyo's tales range from the domestic (the six-volume, 924-page chronicle "3 Choume No Okusan"), to gripping action-adventure, to playful parody.
The art and layout are absolutely superb, and it's no surprise that Takakura-san (whose own circle, AKIYOSHIDOU, has produced doujinshi based on subjects including Raideen, Samurai Troopers and Slam Dunk) has enjoyed growing demand as a pro, with commercial work including manga stories and color pin-ups for several issues of monthly Comic JUNE.
