"Hey, Yaone-san...? Whaddya think the Minus Wave was like?"

Yaone blinked at the question that had come from near her feet, an unexpected break in the sound of Lirin rolling a marble back and forth on the floor's textured tile. "I- I really don't know," she told her frog-squatting charge. "Why do you ask?"

"Just wonder sometimes," shrugged Lirin. "Was it, like, some sort of thought-wave that went right into people's brains? Or maybe a kind of sound they heard...?" She let the marble drop an inch to the tile, where it tapped out a dot-dot-dot-dot-dot.

"I think it's best if we never find out," said Yaone, with what she hoped was a reassuring smile. That smile broadened as a discussion in Prince Kougaiji's adjoining quarters suddenly swelled to reach them in the anteroom.

"...'clash'? It's green and blue; they don't clash. It's bright, and colorful, and...well, it's kind of a cool look, I thought..."

"And so loud, you won't need a microphone. Kou, serious--red and black, that would look slick. Red shirt, black jacket. A jacket is a little more classy a look; that's why I'm going with my red one..."

"Ah, no, I will not wear a sportsjacket."

"Well, you're the boss. Helps me do my job when everyone's too busy looking at me to bother you," chuckled Dokugakuji, striding into the anteroom in his catsup-colored, white-buckstitched piece of polyester glory. "Hey, kiddo, my tie look okay?"

Lirin eyed it gleefully. "The colors are all swirly!"

"It's my tie-dye tie," he winked. "Groovy gear for a groovy concert--starring your big brother!"

The emcee of Saiyuki Reload GUNSTOCK emerged, checking that his electric-hued Hawaiian shirt was buttoned correctly.

"My lord, are you sure you wouldn't rather have Lirin and I come along?" asked Yaone, despite feeling the teensiest twinge of relief at staying behind after seeing the clothes deemed appropriate for the event.

"I'm sure. You'll likely thank me for it later," Kougaiji said with an apologetic smile. "Lirin, may I take your marble along, just in case? I suspect I misplaced a few of mine when I agreed to do this."
