Gunstock Day 1 Part 6
Radio Free BANRI

KOUGAIJI: The Sanzo-ikkou have travelled countless miles together--and now they'll put in a few more for us.

BANRI: Am I seeing this right? Did they just drive onstage in their Jeep?

ENSUI: The tires are still going 'round and 'round and 'round, but they stopped going forward at center stage...

BANRI: Th' hell? I'll be right back.

[Turned sideways to the crowd, the Jeep is somehow trundling in place, with the Sanzo-ikkou riding as if this were a typical mile of their journey. Hakkai watches the "road" ahead, a supposed-to-be-pantomimed Gojyo and Goku squabble over a dried squid snack starts turning vocal...and as Sanzo shifts to observe the rapt audience as if they were passing scenery, the opening notes of "Open Up Your Mind" can be heard. It's time for "There has got to be another way" by Dessa!]

SANZO: Here I am, and I'm stuck on this journey to the west,
I can't stand it
'Cuz I have to travel with these id'jits
It would prob'ly go much faster, on my own
But I don't have any choice

The only reason that I'm on this stupid trip is
for the sutra
I don't care about beating Gyuumaoh
I really don't care what the gods want
I just want this fieldtrip to end

I know I must have screwed up, in a former life to
deserve this punishment
'Cuz I can't figure out, which is worse: this trip or
stuck in hell
Sometimes I just want to shoot myself

If those two don't stop fighting, I will shoot them
And next to me stop smiing, I can't stand that fake emotion
Yes, they must die, or I will lose my sanity
There has got to be another way to finish this quest

Goku won't stop eating, we're out of money
Gojyo took my lighter and I'm about to shoot his head off
Hakkai just smiles, he knows it drives me crazy
There has got to be another way to finish this quest
Or the lot of us will definitely not survive

Something tells me that the gods had a hand in this trip,
us coming together
'Cuz there's no way that this is all coincidence
I hope that when I die I go to heaven
So I can kill those jerks who put me through this

Oh look, we're stopping for the night, I'm glad we're here
'Cuz now I can get some time to myself
Hurry up and park the Jeep, let me get out
I'm gonna drink my sorrows away

Oh great we have to share rooms, keep the monkey out
of mine or die
And keep that baka gokiburi away from me or you'll get
left behind
I guess I'll put up with the fake smiler

Now we're at dinner, those two're still fighting
And that smiling id'jit just keeps on going
Where's my sake? I don't want to stay sober
There has got to be another way to finish this quest

Now the food's arrived, and there is quiet
Only 'til the first piece of food will get fought over
Why can't they fill those bottomless stomachs
There has got to be another way to finish this quest
Or the lot of us will definitely not survive

Time to go to bed, saru get off of me
Go back to your room or the fan will assault you
Please, let me sleep, I want to forget
There has got to be another way to finish this quest

Now Hakkai is talking, why can't he shut up?
Can't he see I want some rest and relaxation
Although, truth be told, tomorrow won't help me
There has got to be another way to finish this quest
Or I'll end up killing them and then myself

[Applause erupts and Sanzo does too, whipping around to crack the backseat squabblers with his harisen.]
