The Gundam Wing Doujinshi of Shirakawa Yofune Rengou

Shirakawa Yofune Rengou--the "Sound-Asleep Association"--is the circle of Yuuki Kamon. A couple of years ago, I read on the web site of a Japanese fan then residing in England that Kamon-san is actually an animator for Sunrise who enjoys doing doujinshi under the Yuuki Kamon pen name. Today I tried to find that web site again and haven't been able to, but having rewatched all of Gundam Wing since reading it, I believe it. The character design in a handful of sequences, especially of Heero and Duo, is distinctly Kamon-san's; once I get back to the U.S. and can watch my LDs again, I'll add specific examples here so you check 'em out. While many of her doujinshi have lavishly-finished covers, Kamon-san draws in a sketchy style, and propels our boys--especially Heero--into often dark situations that keep the edgy tone of the anime. One of my favorite circles!
